As someone with a disease of the GI tract that involves multiple bathroom visits a day I am very self-conscious about being clean and feeling clean afterward. I always have on me some bathroom wipes and sanitary wipes because I like to be prepared for anything my disease might throw at me when I am away from home. Now, at home, however, I have been trying new things in my bathroom like this new Luxe Bidet NEO 185 I was asked to review.
I was not 100% sure how I would feel about having a bidet and what it would feel like, but let me tell you.. I love it! I have perianal disease that causes horrible ulcers and inflammation of my rectum and then my disease can also have me going to the bathroom 10 or more times a day, and that involves a lot of toilet paper and honestly a sore bum (my IBD peeps get me). So I do my best to find ways to minimize a sore bum and this bidet is by far the best way I have used to date!
The packaging was simple. It came in a box that had all of equipment you would need to set it up. Neatly packaged and easy to open which is what I like.
I was initially worried about setting the bidet up because you have to hook it into the toilet water supply line and I am not a handy man. However, this was extremely easy to connect and set up! The instructions were very clear and had pictures on them (which I like) and made sure you took the correct precautions to not get toilet water everywhere! So overall it took about 10 minutes to do and was really simple.
Like I said earlier I was not sure exactly how I would feel about the bidet and was nervous to use it. I was not sure if it would cause more of a mess than anything but once I used it I was instantly hooked! I typically use wet wipes to help with the sore bum I get from many bathroom visits during a Crohn’s flare but now with the bidet I do not need them as much. So that is extremely helpful and saving some money!
Even though I was unsure about the bidet in the beginning, I seriously am in love with it. It does not look out of place in our bathroom it blends in fairly well. It is easy to use and does a really good job of washing and it has a self-cleaning option that cleans the nozzle! I would recommend this bidet to any IBD patient because it truly helps with the soreness that comes from many bathroom visits and provides a good cleaning. I would even recommend it to anyone who has just been considering getting a bidet. It is very much worth the investment!
